Overview
Libro.fm is a digital audiobook platform that allows users to buy audiobooks while directly supporting a local, independent bookstore of their choice

The Problem to Solve
Bookstore storefronts today feel generic with Libro's homepage with a logo. Stores don't send
customers there
Stores have no time (~3–4 hrs/week just triple-posting events) and no technical/design capacity).
Their current tools (IndieCommerce, DOS-based BookManager, Shopify) are clunky.
Content that does exist goes stale: only 19% of stores have a fresh playlist; 36% of playlists
untouched for 2+ years (July 2026 baseline)
Libro.fm feels like its competing with stores. We need visible proof we're building for them.
Ideation
Early ideation focused on creating designs that emphasized the partnership between the bookstore and Libro.fm but with putting the bookstore "front & center" within that partnership. Extra attention was placed on highlighting the bookstore ethos, tastes, recommendations, and staff.

The Solution
A storefront that looks great out of the box, auto-populated from data we already have (recs, bestsellers, store info) with optional light customization on top
Center it on people: bookseller profiles with photos + auto-fed recs/playlists (data shows 1–2 individuals per store already produce nearly all content; top 25 curators each write 33+ recs/year)
Visible visual difference
